All praise be unto the Lord for His favors upon the 7th Annual Africa Day of the ACFAtlanta Chapter on October 30, 2010.   We estimated that about 300 people attended the event, including children.   We would like to acknowledge the support given to our local chapter by our Sister Chapters, Augusta and Macon, GA.   These chapters turned up en-mass to attend the event in Atlanta.   We are very appreciative.   Dr. Mike Obiekwe and Sister Mabel Olufelo were co-MCs of the day.

The program started with a resounding testimony from Bro Victor Agunna from Nigeria who was delivered from satanic attacks.   He had been pronounced brain-dead by the physicians who gave up on him and asked his wife for permission to ‘end his suffering’.   Miraculously, God intervened and healed him.   After being bed-ridden for almost six months, he was able to walk in just a few days.   With God, nothing is impossible; and to Him alone be all the glory! The children of ACF Atlanta chapter, under the able leadership of Dr. Tosin Olatidoye, also graced the occasion with their songs of blessing and petition on behalf of Africa.

The crest of the the event was the gathering of representatives from the nations of Africa: Uganda, Kenya, Cameroon, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ghana, South Africa, etc.  This was followed by a dynamite message from Rev. William G.B.K Harris (a Liberian), the Senior Pastor of International Christian Fellowship, Atlanta. The title of his message was “Africans, What’s in Your Hands”? Addressing the theme of the event, “Strength in Diversity”, he challenged the audience to use what they have to help each other and pull each other up.   He emphasized that God did not bless us to be selfish but to share and make each other’s life better.   He also stressed that if we pay heed to the voice of God, God will prosper us.   Rev. Harris observed that despite our intelligence and knowledge, we are not recognized in the USA and more importantly, we have no political power.   He therefore called on Africans to harness their resources in order to make a difference.   The speaker publicly declared that he was joining the ACF Atlanta Chapter.
Another highlight of the event was the report of the medical mission to Zaria, Nigeria under the leadership of Dr Mike Obiekwe.   He showed the video of the trip in which hundreds of people were treated.   Dr Obiekwe briefly described the mission trip in general and then highlighted specific treatments given to certain people.   After the Mission report, Sister Chika Onyema made a passionate call to attendees to partner with the ACF to enable the chapter achieve the purpose of its existence: to win souls for Christ and thereby change the world.   Anyone who obeys this clarion call, she said, would experience God’s blessing in a mighty way like never before.

Finally, the ACF Atlanta women and North East Performing Art Group kept all attendees awake and excited.   Guests were treated to a delicious meal and music as they dined.

In all, all glory and honor went to the Lord for he made all things possible.   By about 9:00 pm the event came to a close with a prayer by Bro. Darlington from Houston Texas.

Special thanks go to the Executive Committee of ACF Atlanta Chapter, Africa Day Planning Committee, members who obeyed God and contributed financially, and all our
well-wishers.    May God’s favor and presence never leave you till Jesus comes back to take us home.   Amen.
